Pours gold, some etched top. Good clarity. Smells like hibiscus, some sour - this vaguely reminds me of mamoche - but diet version. Flavor is tart (meh) and some earth and florals. Dry with a thin body. Gotta be honest, if I saw this on the shelf, I would probably walk by with the price point.

7 feb 2015, bottle. Light orange and faintly cloudy. Nose is tart. Thin body and mildly fizzy. Neutral tart, light golden ale, some orange rind in the finish. Not really tart but tart all the way trough.

PhillyCraft (3638) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 10, 2015
Bottle shared by Al, pours hazy golden with white head. Notes are clean for rare barrel with peach and lemon skin funk, hibiscus, brett, candy, and passionfruit. Lighter to medium body. One of the better rare barrels.

Bottle - Pours hazy golden with no head. Sugary white grape, lightly lemon sour, and a touch of oak. Not getting much from the hibiscus. White grape with a sugary sourness, lemon, and a little oak. Slick and medium-bodied.

The hibiscus and the tang from the barrels add such a nice deep aroma, the flavor is spot on, it’s like going back to Belgium, without all the cost.

Hazy golden in color... Aroma of citrus, pineapple, pears... Flavor is light and fruity initially, notes of airy cotton candy in the middle, tropical fruits, light tartness on palate... Amazing ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A - pours slightly hazy pinky orange with zero head. S - nice nose. Sweet tarts and banana esters, hibiscus up front. Musty light citrusy and yeasty. Canned pineapple and light papaya. M - medium body with a nice amount of texture. Tart up front to a dry sweet end. T - the taste is citrusy yeasty fruity goodness. Pineapple, lemon juice and banana esters lead the taste. Palate is malty and canned pineapple lightly egg funky palate. End is musty citrus and floral notes. Hibiscus throughout. 3.9

The was sampled at the Kick Starter event for the Humboldt Cider Company to get their new tasting room completed. Pour was a golden color with a tiny white head and and light lacing rings. Nose of sour funk with some citrus and fruit. Medium in body the mouth feel is lively. Flavor is citrus, with lots of sourness. Sour finish but lots of flavor stays to the end. Very nice.

Bottle thanks to Will. Pours a cloudy orange with paperthin white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is oak, hibiscus, funk. Thin mouth with nice tart hibiscus, oak, cheese, funk, very nice.
