COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gose Without Saying is a pale sour beer aged in oak barrels that clocks in at a refreshing 5.3% alcohol by volume. In our loose representation of a gose-style beer, a lemon tartness is the most defining characteristic of this beer. While gose style beers often have salt and coriander, we decided we like this beer better without those two ingredients (hence the "Without Saying" in the beer name). It goes without saying that this new sour is incredibly refreshing.

Tap. Pours clear to hazy golden, small white head, great lacing. Aroma is sea air, light lemon, oak. Flavor is the same, light, fruity, oaky, refreshing. Touch of initial sweetness, dries out fast, light tart. Light body. Hugely drinkable.

Draft. Amber beer with a whitish head. Tart and malt aroma. Tart and sour flavor with malt and oak. Medium bodied. Sour and light acetic notes linger with oak.

Appearance is light orange to pale yellow against the light. Nose is interesting. Bitterness paired with peach and grapes and pears. Taste is sharp, vinegar and a tart sour intensity Iíve never encountered in a gose. Itís very grape heavy like eating unwashed green grapes by the handful. I get a touch of sea kelp and salt at the tip of the finish. Itís a very filling and flavorful gose and far being tasting like a session beer. I wouldnít be able to drink a 750 of this.
