1.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Where the Wild Beers Are, 2011. Sadly, this is not sour at all, and pretty much fails at being a Berliner Weisse. It is like a kristalweizen. Very light wheat, thin palate, and no other qualities common to a Berliner Weise or other styles of German wheat beers.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at Lord Hobo. Pours hazy yellow into a tumbler. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving no lacing. Tart lemon and marshmallow aromas. Thin with sour lemon upfront turning to grapefruit before the lasting marshmallow finish. Nice.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at Lord Hobo - Cambridge, MA. Iím honestly not sure which of the two Haverhill Berliner Weisseís I had. This was listed as "Haverhill Berliner Weisse" at 3% on the menu. Also, it was great. Super tangy, light passionfruit-like aroma. Snappy, tart and rounded, with a very clean funk to it. Nothing weird and nothing much beyond some ale yeast and lacto. A very, very traditional rendition, with a nice body of wheat in the finish and a fantastic tart acidity. Easily the best American version Iíve had thusfar.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap @ BBF:NOTF. Nose is lemon, grainy pils malt. The grain quickly takes over the lemon/lacto character & lingers. Its interesting and would certainly be nice on a hot day.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
The beer is a very light murky gold with a big white head that has good retention and lacing.
The aroma is a light sour, defitinite wheat bw sourness there, very nice.
The taste is great. It starts a little sweet citrus with some lemon then finishes incredibly smooth with a great sour finish.
The feel is nice and incredibly drinkable.
This beer is great. It has all the qualities that make me love a bw with great sourness but it is also totally drinkable. A true bw sessional

GABF 2010. Pours a hazed light wheaty golden/yellow- dissipating head. Aroma is tart, lemon, funk sour mash, fairly clean, crackery grainy light dms, corn, toast. Flavor is lactic acid, sour, lemon zest, light funk, wheat, doughy, crisp clean mineral and tart finish. Not bad.

Draft @ EBF. Clean golden pour with some white head. Slightly tart aroma lacking in the lactic department however. Some citrus and wheat notes. Not really a traditional Berliner Weiss,
