COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hold onto your hats, or even better - your lips! This bitter beer is for "hop-heads" only. Ripe with floral and citrus notes, our new "india pale ale" is so packed with Centennial and Chinook hops it should be green (the color of hops). It’s also unfiltered and dry-hopped. Are you up to the challenge? 12.7 degrees Plato, 50 IBU

Bottle thanks to John. Pours light apricot gold with white head. Nose and taste of pineapple husk, pine wood, spruce, caramel malt and light resin. Finishes dry and piney. Medium body.

Pours a hazy orange color, decent head and lace. Floral, earthy hop scent, slight bread as well. Taste is more of an English style, earthy/piney hops. Medium body slightly dry finish. Good beer.

Haverhill, a town filled with drinking and misogyny. A perfect example is this IPA, which is more substantial than its 50 BUs and 5%denotes. Stanky under-ripe grapefruit and resin abounds - clearly lots of chinook. Usual orange hazy look.d Bluntly bitter rather than hoppy, and although there is some malt contrast, there beer is light enough that it feels overmatched. Anyway, my lips long ago turned into my wallet so the deeper meaning of this beer is lost on me.

A murky hazed amber IPA with a thin lacing creamy light mocha head. In aroma, classic floral c-hops, pungent and meaty, with light grassy notes. In mouth, a nice smooth biscuit malt with herbal floral hops citrus notes, grassy, OK. On tap at Lord Hobo, July 15, 2012.

A deep yellow-orange brew. Good carbonation. Sharp, spicy aroma. Flavor is of citrus and spice. Long, long, bittering finish. I recently read Dann Paquette (now of Pretty Things) developed this recipie years ago. I am not surprised, it’s very well made and tasty. Seems a lot more than 50 IBUs.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. I love their labels. The pour is copper-amber with a quick burst of white head in a slight haze. The aroma really has a solid balance of sweet malts and earthy, piney hops. The body tends to be medium. The hop bite is powerful in the taste to the point that it might be too bitter. It does what it advertises.

Striking label and a pretty striking brew. From the description I expected this to be another lopsided unbalanced "big" IPA with a bitter aftertaste but actually it’s got a nice balance of fruity and resiny hops, a sort of dry finish that keeps you interested in another sip. A good malt backbone and it’s good looking in the glass. So cheers!

Sample. Very bitter flavor that overpowered the malt and hop aroma. Not my favorite style of IPA.

12 oz bottle. Hazy burnt orange color with a thin white cap that disappeared quickly. Pine hop aroma with a solid malt base. Bitter, dry hop flavor with a malt backbone. Medium bodied with nice carbonation.
