decaturstevo (1181), decatur, Tennessee, USA Mar 5, 2008 Courtesy jcwattsrugger. Straw gold pour with gooey white lace not much head from the growler. Paper and corn aroma with very light hops and malt. Very adjunct flavor with a good finishing bitter. Solid mouthfeel and carbonation. Very solid drinker refreshing a surprisingly nice all round beer. hopscotch (4431), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Feb 22, 2008 Growler… VBWT2008… Almost colorless with a slight yellow tint and a small, creamy, white head. Restrained, grainy, lemony aroma. Medium-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Sweet pale grains with a nice little hop bite. The lengthy finish starts off medium sweet, then moderate bitterness kicks in and takes me all the way to the finish line. Kudos to jcwattsrugger for hauling this one all the way down from the northeast! Beerlando (1235), Orlando, Florida, USA Feb 18, 2008 Courtesy jcwattsrugger. Growler. Pours a clear, light golden straw color with a minimal, wispy white film for a head. Virtually no lacing noted. The aroma shows light grainy notes with a lightly sweet, toasted caramel malt glaze. Mild citrus and a lightly bready yeast complete the nose. The flavor is very light and refreshing, with a faint dose of floral hops adding just a touch of welcomed bitterness. A solitary drop of honey provides a sweet, fruity component, smoothing out the grainy notes. The body is on the light side of medium, but very smooth. A nice, easy drinking Pils. Would make a very good session brew. gunhaver (610), Tampa, Florida, USA Feb 17, 2008 Updated: Jun 4, 2008Courtesy jcwattsrugger. Pours a clear straw yellow, with no head and just a tad bit of lacing. Aroma is wheat with some slight clove. Flavor is wheat, grain, some soft malts and some subdued hops. Not bad.
