COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our brand new, year-round rye ale. The second we looked at the grain bill and said “That’s enough rye” -- we immediately doubled the amount. A peppery bite from the malt, and plenty of alpha acid from the Chinook and Glacier hops. They all come together into a brew that we’re ecstatic to share with a certain type of people; people who love things that are awesome.

Tasted during RBWG, thanks to jcwattsrugger for sharing this 22oz bottle! Clear amber orange color. Thin off-white head. Dots of lace. Nice rye malt nose. Good smooth lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Medium plus body. Moderate bitter, light sweet taste. Nice lightly spicy aromas, light earthy herbal hop. Good rye ale!

22 oz. bottle opened on the bus at RBWG. Pours a clear orange-gold with a wispy head. Notes of leaves, rye, grass, straw, cereal, and banana chips. A hint of lemon citrus. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry, malty mouthfeel. Not much rye bite at all.

Bottle on the bus at RBWG. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor is malt forward with caramel and bready notes, some buttery hints, light rye but not to the level I would like with a mild bitterness to the finish.

Sassy Rabbit! Who doesn’t love a name like Sassy Rabbit? Nobody I want to know, that’s for sure. At any rate, this seemed to lack the crisp finish I usually associate with rye-based beers. Seemed more like a brown ale, actually. Not bad, but not what I was expecting.
