Bottle thanks to Brian! Pours a clear dark brown with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of musty grain with a bit of underlying grains. Flavor is similar with a musty dark grain/bread note with a bit of rye.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draught@Lord Hobo. Dark red-ruby color, good beige head. Berries, caramel, perhaps hints of rye in the nose. Medium-bodied, but quite weak palate. Malty, slightly ryeish, hints of berries and caramel. Aftertaste has some hoppyness. Probably good beer with food. For sessioning a bit simple.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
$4.55 for the 490mL bottle purchased from Leary’s earlier today. To tulip, it pours a rich purplish mahogany brown: trim ringed white head barely a fingernail in length. Aromas of corn husks, honeysuckle, sourdough, and aspirin. Tastes the same. Finishes with pipe smoke, spoiled vegetables, and orange-scented floor cleaner. Meh.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a clear amber body with a small fizzy off-white head that left some sticky lacing. The nose is showing a decent amount of rye, but there’s also a little too much crystal malt sweetness that’s coming through as well. Minimal floral hops in here as well. The flavor is more about the crystal malt sweetness than the rye unfortunately. The pervasive sweetness is way too much for my tastes, the rye element is nice, but it’s hard to focus on it. Finishes with a light bitterness and brown sugar. Light to medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Sticky sweet finish. The rye part here is pretty nice, but the heavy crystal malt just ruins it for me.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz. bottle purchased at Julio’s in MA. Amber hued ale with decent carbonation. The label says "hoppy and spicy" and that’s exactly how the beer hits my palate. The hops and rye seem to battle for predominance in the mouth with neither gaining a significant advantage. Overall, a product which comes across as advertised and one I’d probably purchase again.
