500ml bottle well before best before date yet after reading others descriptions, I’d say mine has lost a bit of freshness. Delicate lemony citrus and slight pepper and typical pilsner yeast(?) float lightly on the thin watery light bread or crackery base. A real summer drink.

(Rating #4352)

My Bottom Line :
Peppery hops and their tropical fruit ramifications create a mesmerizing Kiwi Kellerbier.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A veil of foam covers the hazy yellow-gold.
-Carbonation is frothy and the mouthfeel relatively dry.
-A mineral touch is tasted in the second half.
-The hop signature fits perfectly with the refreshing nature of the base style.
-I could drink this all summer.
Bottle.

UPDATED: MAY 21, 2012 Bouteille de 500 ml.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 ciaranc (365) - Dublin, IRELAND - APR 9, 2012
500ml bottle, malt and lemon zest nose. Light hops and thin mouthfeel, a bit watery. Short slightly bitter finish. Not much taste to it, prefer a hoppier Pils

500ml btl from a local shop. Clear yellow pour with a white head leaving minimal lace. Light yeast nose. Medium body and carbonation. Light lemon, biscuit, pepper, citrus hops. Dry finish that is quite short and clean, if a bit watery. I’m not a big pilsener drinker, but this is fairly solid. Still like Mac’s Hop Rocker best.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 hawthorne00 (1855) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 18, 2011
Ugly bottle, 9C. Pours gold with a huge white head. Aroma of lemon and flowers, dry biscuits, blackcurrants. Overcarbonated mouthfeel. Taste is bitter and quite fruity with gooseberries, grapefruit and firm malt. Very dry finish. Too much carbonation and the NS hop flavours are just slightly intrusive for me, but this is another very fine Kiwi pils.

Aroma - sweet, passion fruit, bubble gum, very aromatic for pislner. bit of lemon and caramel
Appearance - golden colour and white head
Taste - clean, light sweetness and the bitterness after to balance it out.
Palate - crisp, light
I think this is the best pilsner in NZ

Clear gold, great looking Pils. Clean & crisp with sweet malt and fruity citrus aromas. Medium body and really good bitterness. Nice balance in this excellent Pils.

More traditional than I might have expected. Pours wonderfully well with a massive creamy white head and chunky lacing. Biscuity champagne-like nose with hints of grassy sweetness. Sweetness steps up in the palate with a beautiful and almost thick layer of floral hops. Good length and impecibly built.
