3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750ml bottle I picked up at Shoreline Beverage a while back. Pours an orange with some foamy white head that faded fast. Initial burst of the nose had buttery oak, but the butter character dissipated and unripened nectarine and white grapefruit remained, some cooked greens, preserved lemon, some wood pulp, a touch sweaty. Flavor is mostly pithy citrus, white grapefruit, some under ripened orange, some vitamin C, quite a bit of acid, almost like apple cider vinegar, some herbal notes, some woody notes, mild butter. Medium bodied, tart finish.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours a light amber body with a small white head. Nose is red berries, caramel, mild sour tones, citric tones, hints of brown sugar and straw. Taste is mild sour tones, caramel, wood, spices, hints of bread brown and straw. Medium body and high to medium carbonation. Very easy-drinking sour ale; almost not sour at all and not really that complex but OH the drinkability! Despite the ABV, I’d say this is a session sour for sure. Nice one.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 ml bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a hazy yellow color with a white head of foam. Good retention. The aroma has funk, grass, straw, fruits, strong acidity. Pretty hefty tartness to this beer, that’s for sure. Medium body and higher carbonation. Decent beer to share with people.
