Cask at The Whitelocks Pub, Leeds. Pours a clear golden-orange with an average size lasting creamy white head. Nice lacing. Mild aroma of sweet malt, fruit and light hops. Slightly sweet, malty, fruity flavour with some light hops and a light bitter finish. Average bodied. Pretty good, I wish it was a bit hoppier but nevertheless it’s a good session beer.

[CASK: The Salisbury Ale House, Manchester 24/06/06] As the main brew for Theakstons I can help but wish for a bit more... This is just my opinion. This is a popular ale and is quite tasty. I myself prefer something a little stronger. Not bad, just not great either.

Pretty good for a norther brew; not the usually dishwaters served up by Yorkshire. Fairly hoppy and bitter, if a touch flat and bland. stereotypical mud brown bitter colour. Not too bad at all!

Found this beer rating in an old suit the other day, so it’s from several months ago. Cask. Pulls a dark amber, thick white head, almost nitro style. Nose is slightly macrobrewery malt, hops, pine cone? Tastes malty, some sweet hoppy bitterness, and finishes bitter. Average.
