Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
Changed from 3.6% to 3.8% in 2004.
This fine, golden coloured beer has a full flavour that lingers pleasantly on the palate. With a good bitter-sweet balance this beer has a robust hop character described as citrus and spicy. It’s a refreshing and very satisfying pint – noted for the aroma of its Fuggles and dry hopping strain Golding to add to its characteristic Theakston aroma.

Cask at the Peacock, Nottingham. This is a copper coloured bitter with a very thin, watery consistency. Both the aroma and flavour are dominated by bready, grainy malt without much bitterness. I found it rather boring.

A golden amber ale with a thick off white head. A pleasant caramel malt aroma. In mouth, a light bodied ale with nice British hops, however, lacks in body and malt. Light resinous hops do come out later. On tap at JD Wetherspoon, Heathrow, Mid Nov. 2006. 2.69 pounds.

Cask. Aroma is wood and flowery hops along with some slight sourness to it. Flavour is sweetish sour redberries along with some wooden dryness. Long berryish aftertaste along with some sour apples.
