Cask @ The Willow Walk. The pour’s deep golden amber with a small white head. The nose is honeyed brown bread, some light summer fruits and tinned pear. The taste is baked brown bread, some white grape. Mild grassy finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. Ok, but quite malt-forward. Tastes like a ho-hum bitter.

Pint on pupm-tap. Clear amber to copper color, creamy white head. Quiet nose. Aroma are mostly soft hops, pine, spruce. Some caramelt on the malts side. Body is somewhat watered down, low carbonation makes it very easy to drink, smooth but not really impressing. Wouldn’t say this is an IPA, rather a bitter indeed.

Cask. Light gold with a thick white head Nose of caramel, with a decent bitter hop. Taste isn't quite as hoppy as I was expecting. Mostly malt caramel with a light hop sting. Could really do with a bit more hop. The bitter hop comes through in the aftertaste on the palate, but too little too late for me.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol, November 2012. Deep gold with a slight white head. Sweetish bitter, with some biscuity malts, hedgerow hops and decent, bitter finish. Good.

Green Man, Bank 5 Nov 12. JDW festivaløl. Mørk aprikosfarget. Uklar. Lavt skum. Fester seg litt til glasset. Svak aroma. Smaken vassen. Blir syrlig etter hvert. Tørr aprikos/mandelettersmak.

Slightly clouded golden ale with a thick head and dry aroma. Crisp with little taste.

Half-pint, cask at The Green Man. Tiny, off-white head blanketing the glassware. Hazy apricot coloured body. Smell of dusty hops and break-like malts. Malt-fruity taste with hints of lactose. Mild bittersweet tail. Average (from JDWs real ale festival menu, London 05.11.2012).

Kåstå (1273) - Mol, BELGIUM - NOV 18, 2012
On tap at the Counting House, Glasgow. Quite typical light copper foamy low co2 bitter. Some roasted bread like aroma with notes of hay. Nothing close to the IPAs I am used to. Ok, but nothing special.

DruncanVeasey (7309) - NUNEATON, Top 23, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 8, 2012
The Felix, Nuneaton, 08/11/12. Bronze levelled with a fine-lacing white collar. Good crushed biscuit Yorkshire malt and stone; aniseed, hops for bitterness only. Grass and stone on nose. Acceptable. But so far removed from an IPA I want to bang my head on the table.

berkshirejohn (4646) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 7, 2012
Cask at the John Logie Baird (JDW), Hastings. Dark straw with a creamy cream coloured head; the aroma reminds me of a lime top; in the mouth it’s crisp and lightly citrus at first, but quite full bodied, then becoming more bitter with a distinct lime juice flavour; and a limey finish. Delicious.

cask at Sorder ... golden amber ... thin tan head ... soft fruit /// nose ... soft orange ... juicy fruits ... soft sweet floral hop ... decent if average ... little citrus
