COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle - Pasteurised.

This is a very pale, straw coloured ale, that uses a special malt to produce a pronounced ‘peach-like’ element to the aroma and palate, which is complemented by a floral hop character.
Brewed using a blend of traditional Fuggle, Golding and Bramling Cross hops.

Only ratings of the bottled version should be entered here. The cask version has a separate entry.

500 ml bottle bought at Wellcome Superstore in Sheung Shui.

Clear light golden honey colour; One finger head and crumpety white foam which lasted for 90 seconds; Good sticky lacing and quite fizzy carbonation; Aroma of malt, with honey, molasses, very light peaches, light caramel, light yeast and thin grass; Close to light sweet taste of light malt, with light caramel, faint peaches, very light grapefruit zest, light metallic, tart notes, light bread, strong lemon and bitter grassy hops; Light body, watery palate; Mouth feel is fairly refreshing light Ale - fair maltyness thinned but wheat with distinct tart notes. Caramel, sweetness and breadyness are fairly light, with light zesty and peachy hops take over. Nice and easy!... Hoppiness is light honey, light peaches and thin grass in nose. Thin zesty grapefruit , peaches and strong lemon in taste; Bitterness is moderate for a pretty long, quite astringent finish; Quite dry after taste. Zesty and fairly bitter to mouth.

Comments: Unlike other malty and caramel-heavy Theakson Ales, this one is lighthearted and refreshing, with good wheatyness, and right blend of citrusy hops to give the taste a good jump. Absolutely perfect for Summer and a real thirst quencher. Yay!

StueyD (1122) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - FEB 24, 2014
A mid amber orange coloured beer with a weak white head. A fruity aroma, somewhat vinous, sherry-like, with a background maltiness. Dry mouthfeel. A dry cereal taste to start, wheaty and malty, plus a slightly sweeter hint of caramel. Then the hops comes through, piney and grassy with a touch if grapefruit, there is then a more vinous element that stays well into the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pale golden color, small white head. Rough woody hoppy aroma, not very strong. Light bodied. Starts watery, with light fruity notes. Finish has sticky woody hoppyness. Like name says: lightfoot. Almost like a lager.

Pilsner appearance. Quick white head. Quite carbonic upfront. Straw and grainy to taste which ends quickly. Old school but not necessarily in a nostalgic way.

Light, slightly weaker than I was expecting for a APV of 4.1. Not unpleasant, quite drinkable and tastes somewhat decent. But not something I’d buy again.
