Commercial Description:
Bottle; Pasteurised.
Its initial sweetness is, apparently, "of roasted and vinous notes with a subtle bitter aftertaste". Strong fruitiness, often with "banana notes" standing out, is derived from Old Peculier’s fermentation process.

Bottle (500ml) 5.6%. Poured dark burgundy with a averaged sized, creamy, off-white head which lasted very well. Strong notes of milk chocolate and creamy caramel in the aroma with some toffee malts, molasses, redberries, dates, some mild notes of English hops and a hint of cola. Flavor was velvety smooth with not much bitterness (but that makes up in flavor), creamy caramel, lightly roasted malts, milk chocolate, molasses, blackberries, mildly spiced cookies and some earthy notes in the finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, a creamy mouthfeel and a good finish.

Pours a deep brown ruby color with a small head. Fruity malt head with some sour cherry notes. Flavor starts out very sweet and malty but finishes with a mild fruit sourness and some bitterness. Light-medium in body, nice crisp refreshing quality. Overall a good example of an old ale.

Fucking poms. They make some crazy brews for sure. This one is interesting and could degrease my engine the next time I do a rebuild on it. 5.6% alcohol. Should be stored in a bunker for safety.

2008 Bottle - Old ale in every sense, aroma is pale, flavour is much brighter, old fruit, yeast, some tobacco, this is a pretty thin ale, but slightly enjoyable, this has potential and there were characteristics I liked, maybe I was having an off day but it was just okay this time...

Dark brown, not quite opaque, with a one finger tan head. Aromas of coffee, nuts, biscuit, and a bit of caramel. Likewise with the taste, though the caramel sweetness came through a little more strongly. Medium body, a bit thin, nice bitterness lingered in the end.
