Commercial Description:
Bottle; Pasteurised.
Its initial sweetness is, apparently, "of roasted and vinous notes with a subtle bitter aftertaste". Strong fruitiness, often with "banana notes" standing out, is derived from Old Peculier’s fermentation process.

Bottle. Pours a really dark amber with a small tannish head. I think it might be a little cloudy in appearance, it’s hard to tell. The aroma is sweet with pleasing hints of toffee, berries, banana. yes, definitely aromatic in a juicy way. The palate is just a bit sticky. Toffee comes out in the flavor, battling with very strong banana suggestions. It’s not really like hefeweizen banana, it’s somehow closer to actually eating a ripe banana. Subtle notes of raisins and brown sugar come out. Fainter hints of tobacco are buried beneath the semi-sweet profile. This is actually quite drinkable and fairly unique to anything I’ve tried thus far.

Bottle, 12 oz. Pours clear, dark amber with a lasting beige head. Malty, slightly bready aroma. Sweet with lively carbonation and a dry finish. Slightly bitter after taste. Decent, but a little too watery for my taste.

This is one of the better beers that I have had. I have had this in london on tap and it is tasty. Pours a light brown. Nice palate with some toffee and mixes very well. It goes down smooth and is rather creamy. Overall, a great beer and would buy again.

bottle. pours an opaque brown color with a foamy tan head. smells of dark fruit, yeast, and some banana candy. sweet roasted toffee flavor with some banana presence, somewhat reminiscent of a Belgian dubbel. a bit cloying but not so much that I couldn’t enjoy the beer. finishes fairly clean. a bit too hearty to be session material but still quite tasty.

Dark root beer appearance from a brown bottle. Clean fragrance. taste is certainly peculiar to say the least. Not exceptionally rootbeer citrus bitter yet offensive to an extent in it’s own interesting way. Calm leather and saddle mixed with dirty root vegetables. At times seems to be alky in nature, but not like 6%. A near chocolate finish withoout medicinal attributes.

Deep neutral brown color. Medium head that dissipates at a medium rate and leaves a lot of nice lacing. Nose of nuts, bread, and dark fruit with earthy notes. Coffee and chocolate taste with bready and subtly fruity notes. Dry, smoky and complex finish of dark malts.

Bottle. Pours a reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma is liquorice, chocolate and soy sauce. Flavour has a good body and notes of liquorice, chocolate and some tar. The finish is burnt malts. Quite good!

Dark appearance, holding up to a light, wine red in colour with a thin light beige head. Very light fruity aroma. Fairly thin bodied with low carbonation. Low bitterness. Sweet malty flavours. Other than being a little on the watery side is not too bad at all. - 500ml bottle.
