Canadianlush (169), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA Feb 25, 2007 Out of the bottle pours a deep dark brown with a fluffy tan head that doesn’t hang around long enough. Aroma is sweet and dry like scotch whiskey. Taste is of roasted malts and some fruit. Finish is long and bitter. Not bad just not great. loslava (9), Hope Mills, North Carolina, USA does not count Feb 24, 2007 Dark brown with light brown head. Fruity aroma almost like wine with roasty tint. Sweet taste with slightly bitter finish. Nice beer. JohnnyJ (1282), Carlsbad, California, USA Feb 22, 2007 Pours a dark red/brown with a nice light tan head. Aroma of coffee, dark fruit, and some earthy bitterness. Flavors of roasted malt, dark fruit, caramel, and notes of banana and earthiness. Thin to medium mouthfeel. jonno (542), Brisbane, Australia Feb 19, 2007 The inital sweetness gives way to a not unpleasant bitterness, but in doing so marginalises itself to a standard ale Ingevara (516), Hindås, Sweden Feb 18, 2007 Coffe colored, coffee tasting. Small head, full of subtile flavors like raisins and dried fruit. A hesitant, slowly deepening aroma. Intriguing. BeerBellyOSU (47), Columbus, Ohio, USA Feb 14, 2007 Deep hazy amber color, average head. Smells a little earthy, a little caramel, a la Newcastle. Taste to match, this beer is very much like other commercially available English browns (Newcastle, Bass, Sam Smith Nut Brown, etc.) Not a bad beer, just nothing new.
