Commercial Description:
Bottle; Pasteurised.
Its initial sweetness is, apparently, "of roasted and vinous notes with a subtle bitter aftertaste". Strong fruitiness, often with "banana notes" standing out, is derived from Old Peculier’s fermentation process.

IT is a good beer, the hops are great, and the foam is nice, but something is missing, like if nothing new had just being on your glass. I thought it was big beer, but just a regular Old Ale.

Bottle. Poured a dark brown with an average frothy light brown head that was lasting and produced good lacing. Heavy malty aroma. Medium body. Good fruity malt flavor with a solid finish of average duration. Good brew.

I enjoyed this one, I liked it because I WAS expecting something heavier, it was Malty, a bit sweet, but not overly so, very drinkable.

Definitely peculiar, but not necessarily a good peculiar, like that time you said something your girlfriend normally gets pissy about, but yet it seems to make no rift in the conversation. But instead, the peculiar is more a Is that a guy or a girl? kind of peculiar. I didn’t think this was a bad beer (just as I don’t have a bad feeling about androgyny), I just feel the ratings are excessively pleasant. Try drinking it a little warm, it helps the taste.

Opaque dark brown, almost black, with a medium tan head and some scattered lacing. Lots of fruity esters in the aroma, but I favour sweet berries more than banana. I think I can also detect some hops there if I sniff enough in. More aromas evident on tasting, include some caramel and a hint of coffee. The flavour is fairly light, although well balanced. A bit thin, it makes up for it with even carbonation and a pleasant and fulfilling finish.

(Tasters at BJCP Class) Strong Malty flavor good fruity esters. With hint of caramel and molasses. This has a strong Alcohol percentage even though it should be low. No Hops presence. Medium body for this beer. Almost sherry like flavor in the aftertaste. Good strong barley wine with a Dark reddish brown color. This was a good beer to style.

iT’S VERY CARBINATED. iT’S GOT A LOT OF ZING TO IT AS WELL. i THINK THE AFTER TASTE IS THE BEST PART OF THE BEER. IT LASTS FOR LITERALLY MINUTES. BEST HAD A BIT WARM. VERY SMOOTH AS WELL.

12 oz bottle. Poured a nice dark color with a decent head. Aromas were very nice. Chocolate, caramel, other malts. The flavor lost out a bit, with some unexpected bitterness that didn’t seem to fit in. Didn’t get any fruitiness or bananas. Still a decent drink.
