Has a somewhat thin mouthfeel - may have been a little too cold when I sampled it down at the stuffed sandwich. No head at all to speak of. Syd (911), Waconia, Minnesota, USA

Aroma is malty and the flavor is of chocolate and of burnt toast. There is some bitterness to balance the flavor. Overall, this is good. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 4, 2007 Pours light red brown with a short off-white quick disipating head. Nose of toasty malts, dried fruits and a little bit of port. Minerally and fairly light. A bit of sweet tropical fruit, I didn’t get the banana but maybe some pineapple. Grapes. It’s nothing like I expected. It is pretty good. Finish is very dry for the style with a bit of peppermint and herb in the finish. Odd. Found this in Kyoto. bubbleflubber (903), Collinsville, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 16, 2007 Pours directly between cola and ruby into the glass... and initially tan brown froth diminishes quickly to a ring lace. Dark toffee, sour grains, sileage and roasted bananas greet the nose. Nice sweet, yet pale malt integrates well with bananas and dark fruit on the palate. Toward the finish, I get roasts and bitters coming through, rounding out at the end with a lingering smoky bitter back. Mouthfeel is medium-light, with an almost liquor "twinge" to it. Well-integrated and makes for a decent late-nighter. steview (902), Los Angeles, California, USA
