This stuff smells DELICIOUS. Smells malty and toffeesque. The taste is somewhat of a letdown after the inviting aroma, but it’s still very good. Solid malty taste with a bit of a creamy aspect. The ’banana notes’ were there, but I don’t know if I’d have picked them out w/o being apprised of them. kujo9 (1079), North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA

Very buttery & yeasty at the start. Mild chocolate & roasty notes w/ a some sherry to show the age... Very little dark fruit character. Well balanced overall, but sweet up front. Diacetyl in the flavor as well, w/ some sherry. English yeast w/ some moderate roasty notes. Finish is malty and buttery throughout. Low carbonation, medium body, and well hidden 7% alcohol. Overall a very good beer, minus the diacetyl notes that are at times overwhelming. ¾ (5013), Boulder, Colorado, USA

It's a dark reddish brown with a nice head. Has a smokey malt flavor and is slightly sweet. Doesn't have the most complex flavor. It's not the greatest beer in the world but it's very enjoyable.
