3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark red beer with a slightly bubbly head and smells of a mix of fruit and malt. The flavour is of fruit (some sort of red berry, perhaps?) and strong, toasty malt which carries through with a touch of hop for a lasting finish.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
UPDATED: MAR 31, 2015 A dark, dark ruby ale, with a beautiful creamy head. Indulgently thick, with aroma of caramel, chocolate, raisin, and dark fruit; balanced ever so finely with a spruce-like hop, matched equally in the taste. A truly beautiful pint, especially on a country pub on a winter’s night.

On tap at the Cowes Week. This one tells me it has 7 or 8 per cent in abv and seems to be inspired by syrup. Thick and heavy piwo with loads of plums, similar ripe fruits, bit of sugar, some malt and bananas. Easily drinkable but also really thick and full bodied. Respect.
