3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark red beer with a slightly bubbly head and smells of a mix of fruit and malt. The flavour is of fruit (some sort of red berry, perhaps?) and strong, toasty malt which carries through with a touch of hop for a lasting finish.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask @ George Hotel, Hull. Very dark brown, lively with massive head. Liquorice and dark fruit dominate the aroma. A sweet beer, only mildly tempered in the taste with a bitter edge in the finish and aftertaste. A great beer with many imitators but few challengers.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A dark dark brown coloured beer with reddish tints and a weak off white head. A roasted malt aroma, meaty and nutty, vinous with lots of dark fruit. Dry mouthfeel. A dry roasted malt taste, Marmite meatiness and nutty, with a vinous dark fruit flavour that also brings forward a hint of liquorice. Towards the end is a grassy, hop flavour that refreshes the heavy malt domination.

Absolutely fantastic, bought one of their wooden casks of Old Peculier for Christmas - I’d highly recommend. You can taste the vanilla from the wood!

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask flying horse Gatwick. Pours deep ruby red. Off white foam head. Notes of cherries, bubblegum sweet aroma. Smooth flat beer very slight carbonation. Subtle balanced fruity sweetness with woody oak flavours. Rounded with a pinch of bitterness which really balances team sweetness. This is a subtle complex delight. ABV strength is nicely managed and compliments this beer
