3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tasted this in the Esquire House, Glasgow (JDW) in October 2006. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear orange amber in colour with a thin white head. Strong floral notes in the lingering fruity aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a digestive biscuit base with tart redcurrants, green apples and bramble fruit present. Light citrusy hop resins give a light bitter aftertaste. Finish is slightly malty with hints of sweet summer fruits. An excellent summer session bitter.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask @ Abbey Inn, Kinloss
Golden, clear, thin dense white head
Aroma of soft citrus, touch of minerals, soft sweet pale malt, bit of sulphur
Taste of soft bitter english hops, light minerals, bit of sulphur, hint of floral hop, light caramel malt, a bit meh but not too bad
Palate - light to medium body, fairly oily, light bitter palate with some sweetness in the malts. Finish as main flavour, clean finish
Overall - Hardly a paradise ale - just an ordinary sort of golden ale / bitter, not keen on the mineral tinge, average

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
[Cask at the Hoboblin, High Wycombe] Amber-gold with a small white head. There’s a lemon flavour with floral hints, but a dirty finish. Unpleasant by the end.

(Cask @ Coopers Arms, Rochester) Very mild and subdued . Tastes exactly of malts and hops in the most simplistic of showcasings of the bitter style you could recieve.
