COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Pasteurised.
First brewed in the 1980s.
This is our premium strength bitter, ruby coloured with a rich flavour and full body. The balance between bitterness and fruitiness from the Bramling Cross and Fuggle hops used give XB the distinctively complex aroma, making it the beer to savour.

Surprisingly nice bitter, rich copper in colour when poured from bottle with little to no head. Aroma is sweet malt but not cloyingly so and a general fruitiness. Taste is medium sweet and lightly bitter which balances nicely.

Bottle 0.5L. Deep copper body with average, frothy, white head, mostly lasting with some lacing; average density of tiny bubbles. Moderate malty (caramel, light toasted) and light-to-moderate hoppy (flowers) aroma with some fruity notes. Moderate bitter and light-to-moderate sweet flavour with some light acidic note. Medium body with oily texture; soft carbonation.

red, clear, minimal head, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, medium body, thin feel, soft carbonation, ruby beer with a nice steady head. The aroma is malty and light and the flavour is smooth and malty with a slightly dry finish. Overall a excellent beer.

Hazy copper with a decent bubbly head. Medium-light body. The flavor is similar to the aroma in quality but much stronger. Fine fruity, malty flavor.

Vernünftiges Bitter mit etwas zuviel Bitterkeit für mich, jedoch mit angenehmen Hopfen, ein paar Früchten. Dazu brotige und getreidige Anklänge. Ganz ok.

The beer pours out in a clear amber colour with airy steady head and medium body. Aroma of bitter hops, barley and grass. Taste of bitter hops, barley, straw, malt and flowers. Hints of bread and herbs. Nice one, solid.
