2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottle, bought in Switzerland. Bright golden colour, clear, quite large head, which was not very persistent. Malty and slightly sweet with a touch of fruit. Very hoppy and bitter in the finish and aftertaste, which is quite pleasant. A bit too much alcohol in the flavour though.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled 33cl. It pours a fully golden beer with a medium, rather quick diminishing white head. The aromas are flowery, biscuitty, sweet, hoppy. Some gluey, sugary elements. The nose reminds me somewhat of molasses. A hint of hay. The taste is of caramel, rather sweet, soapy. Some fruits (lemon, a hint of peaches). A little citrussy. A trace of peanuts? There is a lack of good hop character in this beer. Rather low bitterness. Some caramel comes through just before the finish. Some peanuts in the aftertaste. Interesting, but far from beeing enjoyable.

(33 cl bottle shared with ekstedt at "Tre små rum", Göteborg) Shady pale golden color, small white head. Cheeze and sweet Belgian ale yeast scent. Spicy yeasty taste, sweet and a bit hoppy. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle courtesy of and shared with ozujsko (thanks!)
Beautiful darker orange/gold colour and a big white head that went away soon. Oily hoppy nose, some malt, slightly fruity. Not bad but not great. Nice fruity maltiness and lemoniness, long, but not that pronounced hoppy aftertaste. An ok, not flashy but quite pleasant beer.... an English style beer under a faux German brand made by a brewery with Trieste in its name that’s actually somewhere near Treviso. How cute.

Deep yellow clear colour, with a nice creamy head.
Aroma is hopy, flower, fruity, citric and a nice maltyness. Flavor is sparkling Vine, lots of maltyness, and citric, flowers. A typical Belgian Ale if you ask me.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Slightly darker in colour to the Pils and true enough to the style. Again looks very illuminated and attractive. Sweetish malts on the nose, slightly daggy and earthy. Friendly to taste with more approachable malts but perhaps a touch over cooked (ie a bit like stewed fruits). Almost feels like a lighter Belgian Ale so perhaps the pale ale tag is misleading. In any event it doesn’t have the weight to be true to that style. Nice beer, well made.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUN 26, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Amber coloured, slightly hazy ale without much of a head. Quite sweet with an extremely discreet bitterness. On the other hand it has all the wonderful fruity ale-esters. Very nice, but it doesn’t remind me much of the typical British Pale Ale. 250104
