COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ales are traditional, highly fermented and very distinctive. This Strong Ale with a deep amber-red colour is produced only with first choice malts which give it a characteristic sweet taste. Rich in creamy froth it leaves a pleasant aftertaste of hops. It is a typical strong beer and can be best enjoyed with strong and sharp flavoured food.

Ha un sapore dolce, accompagnato da sentori di liquirizia, frutta secca e caffé. Corposa, di colore ambrato carico.

Bottle. [Courtesy of yespr, thanks buddy] Average beige creamy head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Clear flat looking body with a pale brownish colour. Aroma of nutty, toasted malt, yeast, mild spice, brown sugar and mild hops. Medium bodied with an average carbonation light alcoholic texture. Moderated sweet flavour with a hint of bitterness. Malty sweet and alcoholic finish.

Pours amber/red, thin off white head.
Nose is interesting, strong vanilla & a kind of berry fruit.
Flavour is somewhat sweet, sugary. Fruits are there, with a mild balancing bitterness.

330 ml bottle. Amber body with a small tan head. Aroma is malt, caramel, dry fruit and some alcohol. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, some bitterness and alcohol. Quite ordinary and a bit out of balance, to strong on alcohol.

0.33 l bottle from Alko. Bright amber color. The aromas of toffee, cocoa and perfumed alcohol. Sweet toffeish and bready flavor with raisins and tart alcohol. Low bitteness. A bit too alcoholic for me, nice cocoa note.

330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.5%. Reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head of good retention. Sweetish aroma of caramel, molasses and raw alcohol. The fairly sweet flavour has also notes of caramel and molasses, hints of dark dried fruits and liquorice. Too moderate hops. The alcohol is not well hidden.

Another one of heavy’s (thanks!)
Poured a brown-amber body with a small white head. Carrot, dust light honey in the nose and something I can’t decypher. Fruity malty taste, light crappy yeastiness. Ok.

Clear dark amber, creamy orange head. Roasted caramel malts with wild honey. A hint of wet cardboard. Sweet with light bitter ending, some final astringency and light bitter aftertaste. Almost oily body. Malty, caramel and hiney, but not sticky.
