2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Sigmund (3495) - Hafrsfjord, NORWAY - JUL 11, 2011
UPDATED: JUL 12, 2011 330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Vika. ABV is 5.3%. Deep golden to amber colour, large white head. Moderate aroma of malts and caramel, a hint of chicken manure(!). The flavour has also some malts and caramel, and is otherwise bland and boring, nearly void of hops.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 sinkhole (258) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 5, 2011
Bottle. Pours clear, copper-red in colour with a good off-white head. Aromas of sweet caramel and slightly toasted malts. Taste is similar with notes of bitter hops to help mute the sweetness. Finishes just slightly bitter. The taste probably doesn’t live up to the appearance and to a lesser degree the aroma, but overall it’s still a very nice beer.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 RuneStumo (1384) - FŘRRESFJORDEN, NORWAY - JUL 4, 2011
02.07.2011. 0,33l Bottle. Vinmonopolet Bergen - Valkendorfsgaten. Golden yellow colour with white head. Aroma is malty, with medium to thin body. Moderate to low on bitterness. Its the malt that gives this beer its flavours. Short, and rather thin aftertaste.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Rune (4671) - Tromsř, NORWAY - JUN 20, 2011
330ml bottle picked up at Vinmonopolet Vika in Oslo. Clear amber body, two-finger beige head, spotty lacework. Smell of grainy malts, mid-sweet. Brittle caramel in flavour, next to candy sweet. Short lived ending with malts that are more sour than bitter. Drinkable, though (Tromsř, 12.06.2011).

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 eczematic (1284) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JUN 18, 2011
Quite drinkable and well made, malty and sweet but dry in the finish, soft mouthfeel and nice earthy malt low notes lingering in the finish. Aroma is sharp and worty, toasty and lifted by a touch of floral hops. Only slight dodginess is the weird black banana (chess set) flavour in the aftertaste. Nice head that settles in little icefloes, Czech style. In fact reminds me of Czech polotmaves.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 larsga (4435) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 16, 2011
Medium beige head. Reddish amber body with strong carbonation.
Sugary earthy caramelly aroma with cinnamon notes. Dry-sweet
earthy caramelly buttery taste with cinnamon notes. Soft, mild
mouthfeel, very faintly slick. Mid-to-full body. Good dry/sweet
balance. Dryish earthy spicy caramelly aftertaste with floral
bready notes. Very nice. Highly drinkable and full of flavour.
(0.33l bottle, wine monopoly Vika, Oslo.)
