Dogbrick (2816), Columbus, Ohio, USA Aug 15, 2009 Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a hazy orange-amber color with a wispy white head that diminishes to a film quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Hoppy aroma with some citrus and malt in the background. Medium body with a hops flavor that is on the astringent side, with just a touch of malt and citrus behind it. The finish is short and bitter. Just average overall. drowland (1360), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 13, 2009 Tried at the 4th Annual Festival of Iowa Beers. Floral/fruity aroma with a hint of something like tomato sauce or marinara. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Apr 24, 2008 Draft at the brewpub. Served a bit too cold for me. Poured a hazy medium orange color with a thin white head. The aroma was subdued overall with light caramel and some citrus from the hops. Light body with only mild hop bitterness that peaked at about 3 out of 10. The hop flavor was also relatively modest with citrus and grass notes. I also detected some cooked vegetables occasionally. The malt backbone was fairly thin with a biscuity flavor. Decent beer. Certainly nothing offensive in there. couchand (182), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Mar 17, 2008 Hazy copper with clean white creamy head.
Strong fruity aroma.
American hoppy flavor, light bitterness.
Somewhat watery but a good session beer.
