Commercial Description:
A beautiful golden-hued brew in the pale ale style. The lightest of our beers, it includes a nice hop flavor and all pale malts.

Bottled. Thanks to Pailhead. Pours a very cloudy golden yellow with a surprisingly large, lasting white head. Aroma was of doughy malt and citrusy fruitiness with some pear maybe and earthy/floral hop notes. Tastes slightly sweet with base malt notes. Not too great a malt profile. Hops were earthy and floral. Ester profile provided a nice fruitiness: pear, citrus, and green apple. Bitterness was almost non-existent. Body was light, even for a pale ale but the carbonation was refreshingly suitable for this beer. Almost want to call this a kolsch except for the ester profile, but a good ways from being an APA.

This one poured a cloudy golden with almost no head. It had quite a bit of yeast in suspensin. It smells mainly malty but there are some hops in here. The taste is pretty good--crisp, medium-bodied, with some solid flavor. Some bitter hops at the end provide a good finish. I say this is another solid brew by Bell’s.

Standard gold pour, white head. A grainy pale, I catch something metallic. Hop prescence is acceptable, but weak. Clean enough finish, but something just slightly amiss. The standard Bell’s pale is a much more suitable beverage.

Pours pale gold with thick head that leaves some lacing and lasts a long time. Aroma of acorns, biscuit dough and floral hops. Flavor starts off with a slight piney hop, wholesome cracker taste. Then turns quite quickly to a bitter hops, stale bread kinda taste. The first sip was pretty off-putting but it grew on me after half a bottle or so. Still not the greatest, but somewhat interesting.

Bottled 12oz, given to me at Banbury Beer Fest. Pale gold, carbonated, rocky head. Heavy carbonation with papery flavour, smooths out to a bit of a hop tongue strangler, unashamedly dry, but not refreshing. Yeasty, quite unbalanced and citric. I like hops, but there is little finesse with this.

To me, this is quite under rated on this list I’m beginning to think that if some one up in Kalamazoo peed in a bottle, took it to the Bells Brewery and had them put their name on it, it would be a world class beer. This is a really nice pale ale. Slightly hoppy, but not too much which usually turns me off about pale ales, crisp and refreshing. Pours a cloudy golden color with nice white head. Lingering enjoyable finish. A beer worth trying more then once.
