abcfan (149), USA Jul 1, 2008 Thanks to pepsican for the pour. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of pine and citrus. Feels light and bubbly on the tongue, with a bitter finish. Would make a decent summer brew, but not my favorite style.
pepperford (79), robbinsdale, Minnesota, USA Aug 14, 2008 very light in color. sweet aromas, with atouch of spice. Almost a wheat beer flavor in flavor. light and slightly fruity, with a clean finish. easy porch drinking beer. mallons_72 (3), livonia, Michigan, USA does not count Aug 10, 2008 My first beer rating. Went with what I believe is my favorite beer. 12 oz. bottle into pint glass. Appearance bolstered by best label around - different coast line pictures on each bottle. Opininon definitley biased because I’m from MI. Lots of sediment. Quickly reducing head. Citrus/sour aroma. Short-lasting bitter feel on the palate. Love the nice hoppy/citrus flavor. This is the first time I drank out of a glass. I believe I like it better from the bottle. I know better beers are out there - looking forward to finding them. hombrepalo (446), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 7, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Poured golden with an extreme amount of sediment in the glass. It made the beer look like it had spots on it. Small tight white head and nice lacing. Sour, sulfur, slightly hoppy aroma. It tasted better than it looked, with some slight spice and alittle hops. But overall this was not that enjoyable.
aplusbreaks (39), , Colorado, USA Aug 6, 2008 12oz Bottle, Pours a cloudy golden with a thick frothy white head. Aromas of grains and hops, with a sweet touch. Palate is actually kind creamy....I was surprised too. Flavor is very similar to the aromas, It has some decent hops and subtle spice notes. Finish leaves you searchiong for something other than the funky taste it leaves behind. Slipstream (344), USA Aug 6, 2008 Another big thank you to Adrian for a bottle of this. Appears to be from the same company that makes Bell’s, altho the brewery has a different name. Simple and very cool label features a map of part of the Michigan shore. The label says the beer is a tribute to the Great Lakes - are they the Third Coast? Very nice tangy-sweet hop aroma. The style is a little hard to figure, but the brew is flavorful and well-hopped. There might be some wheat or corn in it. There is a fair amount of sweetness, but it is balanced with crisp, tingly hops. This reminds me a little of some Mendocino/Saratoga offerings - a fine brew.
