COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bodega is an American Pale Ale brewed with an abundance of our favorite hops, and some unusual techniques to make those flavors shine. With remarkable harvests of Citra and Centennial hops from the Yakima Valley, it’s no surprise that we made up reasons to keep testing this recipe long after we had locked it.
Sourcing the immensely sought-after Citra and Centennial hops has not been easy, so we take extreme care to ensure that our methods preserve the layers of exotic fruit flavors that evolve as the glass goes by. A bright body with white wheat lets those tropical notes come through, and finishes with quenching freshness.

On tap @ Pony Bar during their launch party. Pours a deep orange, medium white head. Aroma is pine, big bready malt, deep orange, tangerine, grass, faint yeast. Flavor is light sweet into bitter pine hop, pithy citrus throughout. Light/med body & average carbonation. Decent APA.

Pounder can via BTL and Brew. Murky amber with sparse droopy lacing. Sandy. Nose of honey, malt then light hop. Body grows tightly. Mostly malt to start then hops expand and take over finish and then flourish. Fruit flavors? What kind of fruit have you Cityots been eating? Trust me, this is juicy but no exotic fruits other than the people who came up with that deScription. Ninja shoes, washer game wash out

Can pour. Clean, apple juice color with thin head in glass. Orange aromas, backed with light doughnut yeastiness and not so fresh pine. Alright. Medium body. Moves from sweet to a semi-bitter finish. Lingers. Hop forward, with the orange smells leading to a more tropical palate. Why not have two? OK.

Citrus aroma in a golden pour. Laid back balance with juicy fruity body followed by a nicely sustained bitter finish. A good local (NYC) example of the style.

Draft at Fool’s Gold, 12/5/15. Pours a caramel orange color. Pretty nice lace work. Fruity hops. Balanced flavor, leaning toward the hop side. Pretty good beer. Naming a New York City beer after a Bodega makes perfect sense to, so will done there.
