2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Rated 4/1/13. 12 oz bottle poured into a tulip.
A: Pours a clear amber color. The head is a two finger white shade. Given its roots, I’m actually kind of impressed by both the retention and the lingering lacing.
S: Only thing notable here is some caramel malt augmenting the adjunct character. Meh.
T: Just like the nose indicated, all that’s here is caramel sweetness and corn. It’s utterly simple and not entirely appealing - however, it’s reasonably balanced and refreshing.
M: Good crispness, but it feels too heavy on the palate. Easy enough to drink, I guess.
O: Well, it’s better than regular Coors/Coors Light...

12 oz bottle. Amber with a fast fading white head; the aroma has some orange fruit; the taste is predominantly caramel; with a sickly sweet finish.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear golden, light tan head, not the best retention. Honey, hay, kinda malty. Very lightly bittered, malty biscuity. Light body, some effervescence. Short finish. Meh.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle from Milagro’s in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is malts, candy, cough lozenges. A very sweet, malty beer with some mild herbal notes. Definitely tastes like some kind of herbal lozenge. Not a fan.

All of these attempts by Coors or Bud to make a good beer just come across like McDonald’s trying to make a gourmet burger. It ends up like just another shitty Big Mac.

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
12 oz pour from refrigerated bottle into Weissbier glass. Moderate quickly-dissipating white head leaving little trace of lacing. Golden in color and clear. Lots of carbonation. A surprisingly pretty beer if you look past the head. Nose is a bit of adjunct sweetness, a little bit of hoppiness. Maybe some floral scent. Weak body. Thin and dry. Taste is generic. Mostly water with a little corn sweetness. Maybe a ghost if some malts if I search really hard. Impressively bland, if I?m being honest. Really nothing to the taste.
