COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
India pale Ale, or IPA, was developed to quench the thirsts of British settlers in the East and West Indies. The Bodega Head IPA recreates the stylistic ideas of the 1800’s. High alcohol and aggressive hop charecteristics are matched with a dry malt background and finish.

A decent bang on west coast ipa, enjoyed at the brewpub. Light reddish colour. A lot of hops and also a lot of carbonation. Still decent drinkable.

Thick and somewhat smokey? Not sure this is my favorite IPA even here. Liking other ones better. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught @ the brewpub, Santa Rosa. Rated on 20.10.2012.
Pours a clear golden colour with a white head. Aroma of nuts, grassy hops and weak floral notes. Flavour of pale malts, nuts, honey, strong grassy hops, butter and weird herbal notes. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a slightly grassy and malty finish. Has the same off-flavours I found from their CDA.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours clear golden with a citrus aroma and a modest beige head. There is a hearty caramel malt flavor with a sharp citric hop finish.

Sample at brewpub. Light copper with off-white head. Very light aroma - some mild hops, soap, grass. High carbonation, thin, mild bitterness, good dryness, and a very plain finish.

Draft courtesy of Cameron, thanks! Decent nose, decent piney bitterness, this one stands up to many American IPAs. Worth a try.

Draft. A hazy dark golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of hops, grass, and grapefruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and grapefruit as well as light notes of spices, leading to a bitter finish.

Sample at the brewpub on 8/6/10. Pours clear amber with a thin off-white head. Grassy hop aroma with a bit of hop. Pretty non-aggressive. Malty and hoppy flavor, but not quite enough of either to be a standout.
