On tap at the brewpub. Pours reddish amber with a modest beige head and a light treacle aroma. There is a robust roasted malt flavor that starts sweet and finishes rather bitter. The cask version is a lot smoother and more dry.

On cask at Aleworks. Red amber with light tan head. caramel, smoke, paint thinner. Light, low carbonation and dry finish. Not very good.

On tap at 3rd Street poured a clear reddish amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of carmel, fruittiness, light earthiness and a hint of pine. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, fruittiness, light earthines and a hint of pine with a crisp dry lingering moderatly bitter finish.

Sample at the brewpub on 8/6/10. Clear dark red pour with a medium beige head. Nice caramel nose with a bit of hop. Caramel malt flavor with slight hops in the finish.

Pours reddish brown. This is a decent red ale, with some berry flavor and malt, slightly hoppy bitter finish. I could drink this repeatedly.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours reddish amber with a creamy beige head. Aroma is mild hop. Body is a bit thin. Carbonation is mild. Nice moderate bitterness. Might pass for English, though it’s a bit malty.

Cask. Star bright warm brown, dense low sparkler head. Earthy, resinous nose; subtler toffee and cola follows. Flavor of loam, salt, malt, and a hint of roast. Crisp mineral/bitter finish, but a little thin and dry.

On tap, Poured an amber red with a thin head. Aroma of mild hops.The whole beer tasted like a mediocre Pale Ale. Its nothing special

Tap: A reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. A nutty and buttery malt aroma, with light British hops. In mouth, a good nutty malt with a good dose of floral hops, mineral notes, medium bodied. Cask version also offered, much smoother in beginning, but developping harshness. Sampled at the brewpub. Translucent copper amber with a sticky white head. Aroma of ripe fruits. Fruity flavor, apples, pears, a little doughy. Wet, slightly stick finish. Good session beer.
