On tap at the brewpub. Pours reddish amber with a modest beige head and a light treacle aroma. There is a robust roasted malt flavor that starts sweet and finishes rather bitter. The cask version is a lot smoother and more dry.

On tap at 3rd Street poured a clear reddish amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of carmel, fruittiness, light earthiness and a hint of pine. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, fruittiness, light earthines and a hint of pine with a crisp dry lingering moderatly bitter finish.

Sample at the brewpub on 8/6/10. Clear dark red pour with a medium beige head. Nice caramel nose with a bit of hop. Caramel malt flavor with slight hops in the finish.

Pours reddish brown. This is a decent red ale, with some berry flavor and malt, slightly hoppy bitter finish. I could drink this repeatedly.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours reddish amber with a creamy beige head. Aroma is mild hop. Body is a bit thin. Carbonation is mild. Nice moderate bitterness. Might pass for English, though it’s a bit malty.

Tap: A reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. A nutty and buttery malt aroma, with light British hops. In mouth, a good nutty malt with a good dose of floral hops, mineral notes, medium bodied. Cask version also offered, much smoother in beginning, but developping harshness. Sampled at the brewpub. Translucent copper amber with a sticky white head. Aroma of ripe fruits. Fruity flavor, apples, pears, a little doughy. Wet, slightly stick finish. Good session beer.
