COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The rich darkness is not excessive as is sometimes seen in other craft iterations. A medium high hop flavor and aroma befits this style. The caramel and roasted malt flavors and aromas are enhanced with a well-controlled fruitiness.

Dark red brown color with light tan head. Strong caramel and malty aromas for an ipa, but definite earthy hop presence. Taste is sweet as expected with a moderately bitter finish. Body is medium heavy with a slight oily feel. I really enjoyed this beer.

12 oz. bottle from Cash Wise in Watford. Appearance: film of tan head, dark brown to black color, opaque, . Aroma: nutty, heavy coffee, light fruitiness. Palate: medium body, bitter finish, less than average carbonation. Taste: sweet nutty malt, going into heavy coffee with a decent amount of bitterness coming through as well. Overall, pretty pleasant beer, very enjoyable.

Bottle - near jet black with a small head. Light roasted malt aroma and a grainy taste. The body is medium and the finish is very smooth but somewhat watery. Not bad.

Odors of cocoa, musk, earthen char emanate from this onyx pour and beige crown. This is actually quite good, the best I’ve seen from third street. Bitter char, excellent sweet follow up. Overall, satisfied to have found a good one.

Very easy drinking, wife likes this. Roasted malt, coffee, and nice clean bitterness. Actually pretty surprised at this one.

Pour is black with nice head...nose is minimal a little hops and malt..mouth is malt and anise...something is lacking in this one...drinkable yet needs something...maybe dark fruit....drinkable but not fantastic.

YigSvartka (216) - Manitoba, CANADA - DEC 4, 2014
Mid sized head. Opaque black. Unimpressive roast, malt, caramel, and hop aroma. Somewhat thick for an IPA, but not unappealing by any means. Creamy. Pleasing combination of roast, chocolate and a fair amount of hop. Simple, but satisfying nonetheless.

Bottle poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, cocoa, earthiness and a hint of pine. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of roasted malt, cocoa, earthiness and light pine with a crisp dry lightly bitter lingering cocoa finish.

Bottle shared with Erwin Van Moll and Stefan @ Van Moll Brewpub. Nice dark red-brown color with a nice dark red glare coming through. Nice color, but not black as I expected. Small to average sized beige head. Aroma is lightly malts, oxidation, a hint of cocoa, a hint of leaves. Taste malts, lightly hops, leaves, lightly bitter. Decent body and carbonation.
