COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Three Way is a sessionable pale ale with a deep golden hue and a flavor characterized by floral and citrus-like hops. The selection of three traditional and unique hops combined with three select malts creates a pleasing and balanced beer; described best by having a medium maltiness, a tropic hop character and a moderate fruitiness with hints of grapefruit, pear and a subtle spiciness. The result is a beer that is sure to be desired by many anytime, anywhere.

Bottle in Minneapolis picked up in Minneapolis. Pours a clear golden orange appearance with an off white head. Somewhat spicy, herbal, earthy hoppy, light grainy aroma. Fairly bitter, soapy hoppy, cracker, biscuity malty flavor. Bleh.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Bottle. Slightly hazy orange pour with a small head. Mostly juicy orange in the nose and taste. A little lager yeast seems to be present, or maybe it’s a little malt liquor funkiness on the nose. Not quite sure but it is okay at best.

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from Heritage Liquors in Maplewood, MN. Pours a clear golden amber colored brew with a fast dissipating off-white head that leaves behind a thin film top and white ring. Aroma of light fruity hops, a hint of caramel malt and a touch of bread dough. Taste is medium bodied, a little extra carbonation with flavors of citrus and light grassy hops, light caramel malt and just a hint of dark pitted fruit. Finish is semi-dry and has a faint spiced hop aftertaste followed by a light caramel and fruit flavor. Overall, it’s a light amber ale with some multi-hop flavor.

12oz bottle shared by Anndiesel. A very pleasant Pale Ale, my kind of beer. Medium bodied, clean, balanced. While it has a mild, straw-grapefruit rind hoppiness, it also has a creamy, smooth mouthfeel...leans right back into the malt..some nice citrus in the aftertaste. Solid beer.

12 oz. bottle that I received through a trade. Pours a cloudy gold with a thin off-white head that barley made it to the second sip and left scant lace. The aroma is malt with some notes of orange. The flavor begins with malt and is followed by some mild-moderate hops bitterness that has a bit of orange to it, but is more pith than fruit. Medium bodied. So so.

Gift 12 oz. bottle from neighbor’s last Minn. trip stash. Poured to a Czech-pils glass with a hazed, orangy gold color, a decent amount of soft white head foam that gradually reduced to a ring & film, and clingy, wavy spray to the lacing. The aroma started with some sweetness, then a little tropical fruit, orange, ruby grapefruit, and a touch of resin on the back. The flavor presented a substantial hop bitterness that was earthy, dry, rind-like, and lingering, medium malt, and lively carbonation, all in a medium body. Dry finishing and a pretty drinkable Pale.

Really disappointing. Orange transparent body, some head that quickly fades, not much lacing. Faintly hoppy aroma, a touch of citrus but ever so slight. Taste is really watery, the faintest bit of bitter hops, but metallic and bordering on off putting even though it’s not much flavour. Kind of more like a pilsener than an APA, but even so, not a great one. Poorly executed or intentionally pedestrian. Either way, it’s not for me.

Bottle from Cellars in Eagan, MN, hazy golden color. Some earthy, grassy and light hop aromas. Taste is some grain, bread, grass, very light beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Firings. Pours a nice clear copper with a little white head. Aroma and flavor are weakish but bitter hops. Nice flavor, one of their better offerings.

Sampled at Happy Harrys Beer and Bacon Festival in Grand Forks. This was a pretty weak pale ale. watery and thin. Some citrus notes.
