The head is intensive, creamy and robust, the body brown and cloudy. It smells intensive hoppy creamy, hoppy-fruity, a bit bitter-fruity. The taste is hoppy intensive, creamy, a bit hoppy-creamy-alcoholic, maltaromatic, hoppy-aromatic-fruity and hoppy-bitter. In the aftertaste same but the bitterness is a bit more intensive. Nice beer!

bottle from saveur-biere. Hazy amber-golden colour, mid-sized white head. Aroma of resiny-fruity hops. Full-bodied with quite soem alcohol flavour there, spirit-like almost, but with pleasant and spicy hops.

Keg at La Fine Mousse, Paris 22nd April 2013. This is a nice Beer, does not remind me of a Double IPA though, more a slightly hoppy, dry bitter beer, not enough floral hops and not enough mouth feel, overly carbonated, refreshing after a long walk around Paris

7/IV/13 - 33cl bottle @ Erwin’s place - BB: VI/2014 (2013-315) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the bottle!

Clear deep orange beer, creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet and sugary, melons, honey, mandarins. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter start, oranges, orange peel, bit floral. Aftertaste: orange peel, honey, citrus, pretty bitter, yet sweet as well.

Bottle. Clear bronze with a medium that soon dissipated. Hoppy with a surprising amount of bitterness that took me by surprise. Plenty of body. How the world has changed with the French producing this pretty good example of a double IPA. Long may it continue.

33cl bottle. Pours an opaque, slightly dark amber with a large, off-white head. Aroma is quite fruity and resinous. Somewhat sweet with orange and passionfruit and mandarin. Some pine there as well. Taste is quite exquisite. Quite dry with a lot of resin. Begins with some fruity tones of passion fruit and nettles. Perhaps some mango and orange as well. The resinous and somewhat caramelly finish is very dry. 56 IBUs are well used. Palate is medium and fittingly carbonated.

Bottle from La Cave a Bulles. Hazy amber body, very inviting. Nose is lots of hops and sweet and buttery. Taste is hops, citrus, sugary. Prickly alcy texture. More flavours and hops. Really quite a nice experience this one. Soft silky finish.

75cl bottle. Hazy orange, light brown color, medium, white head. Nose : citrus , zest, crashed pepper, esters, hay and a bit ginger tart. Sip : creamy, medium thick, tingling carbonation, well preserved. Sweet spicy tart flavour soon covered with strong and still spicy hop bouquet. The bitterness is quite moderate for the style but it's imposing with complexity. Nice one. Easy to drink. Reminds a heavy hopped triple style brew. Something lighter and better balanced then Chouffe Double IPA triple.
