Clear golden body with off white and unstable head of small bubbles.Pleasant herbal and light spiced aroma, fresh grass from the hops, very light malts but enough clean yeast to give some base to this beer. Spicy taste profile, a herbal bitterness and more than expected. Has little body to build on, but I think it can get away with it. Herbal finish. Medium yet active carbonation. A bit different than expected; fairly clean and light base but with quite some classic hops, making it an interesting twist on a bier de garde/saison kind of style. Like the bretty feel to this. Very enjoyable. Man, I’m a sucker for well made saisons.. (33cl bottle from De Bierwinkel Leiden)

Pours hazy pale gold with two fingers of dense white head, excellent retention and lacing. (4/5) Nose is pale crackery malt, mild herbal, citrus and green banana, mild funk. (7/10) Taste is very low sweet, moderate bitter, mild funk. (8/10) Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, moderate bitter and funky dry finish. (4/5) Quite a nice saison. Light funk, low sweetness, nicely balanced bitterness. Nice complexity of fruit and funk on the tongue, if slightly less pronounced in the nose. Good fun. (16/20)

Bottle. Virtually exploded into the glass. Cloudy, dry and sour, lacking in finish or strength of flavour. I admit I still don’t quite ’get’ saisons. If anyone does, please let me know what I’m missing.

Bottle. Full golden colour, not quite clear. Heavy carbonation. Scent is of lemon, vinegar, honey and yeast, with noticeable sour funk. Taste is sweet at first, then very dry, with a bittersweet finish. Pleasant but not impressive.
