Pours a hazy pale yellow with a medium white head...nice lacing. Aroma has some dusty fruits and very mild funk. Flavor has nice dry leathery notes, mildly spicy grapefruit, and dusty tropical fruits...rindy bitterness. Mouthfeel is light/medium and silky with a dry rindy/bitter finish that hints at fruit.

bottle. real nice rustic, fresh grass, dank wet hops, farm aroma. taste is quite grassy, with some toasted dough, touch of perfume, old world, dank musty cellar. dry. real nice. complex, tasty, refreshing beer. little too good. actually, this is unbelievably good. the best thing to come out of france since those kate middleton photos.

UPDATED: JUL 22, 2013 bottle-conditioned 750ml. billowy white head atop a hazy gold body. fresh noble hop spiciness and green grass / fresh leaves, and cheese rind / must in the nose with lighter touches of toasted grains. medium-high bitterness, medium-high acid and dry throughout, it has wonderfully soft velvety carbonation and well-suited rustic must from the yeast; very farmhouse / barnyard in character. delicious. it took me a while to find a bottle in good shape. well worth it. Thiriez are proving themselves capable of producing farmhouse ales on-par with the best to come out of Belgium.

bottle at hf’s saison festival 2012. pours bright golden with a nice white head, some retention. breadied malts, cereals, warming alcohol, more of like a ’’bière de garde’’ to me. medium hopping - nice grassy notes, medium long finish. lively, light body.

750ml bottle pours a hazy, deep gold with some clumpy, white head. Nose is honey, grass, brie cheese, lemon, some malt, a little cardboard. Flavor is similar, sweet, pilsner malt, grass, noble hops, light cheese, honey, floral, orange peel. Fairly high carbonation and a silky finish. I would love to try this uber fresh as I think the hop profile has faded quite a bit. Overall, not bad.

Sample, blonde pour, grassy, fruity yeast, floral hops. Well balanced and flavorful. Great summer beer

Cloudy and honey colored with a thick, lacy off-white head. Smells of honey, flowers, hay, and grain. Agressive sweetness melds with the dry hopping, though I would say the sweetness wins the battle. A bit too sweet in my opinion, but a good sipper nonetheless. Not as light as I had imagined for the ABV.

Shared a 750 ml bottle with my wife at the Bayou. The aroma has signs of oxidization, hints of cardboard, floral hops, earthy, and slight malt. The flavor is better with less oxidization, fruity, earthy, and sweet pilsner malts. Not terrible, I would like to try this again.

750 ml bottle; clear vibrant gold win eggy white head lingering; fizzy dry honey, wildflowers, grassy malt and lemon peels; the earthy honey notes are just about perfect; has a sharp, dry bitterness from the dry hopping that doesn’t quite fit with the flavors; sharp, lemony and bitter; finishes with a grassy sweetness; high and dry and digging the house honey flavor, but just a tad sharp for me; the Amber was a homerun, but this is just so-so
