The bitter dryness mixed with the spice is not very pleasing. Good mouthfeel but kind of funky tasting. Pale yellow orange murky color.

4 oz draft pour at The Sovereign as a welcoming gift for the preview event. Golden orange with off-white head. Aromas of floral notes, biscuit, herbs. Tastes of floral notes, malt, citrus, herbs, spices. Almost like a cross between an IPA and saison.

Great aroma with honey and floral notes that carries through to the taste. Some grassy hoppy flavors mingle through the flavor. Pours a golden color with minimal white head. Overall pretty solid, but the taste, while balanced, is a little thin.

How: Bottle (750 ml) at Hill Farmstead tasting room. Split 2-ways with Franky Boy.

>>> Textbook classic Saison that is up against the best. Peppery, herbal, dry and quenching.

- Hazy orangey with a frothy white head, good retention and some lacing.
- Thiriez yeast is the first thing you get along strong herbal and peppery presence.
- There’s a very nice farmhouse character similar to what you can find in some Blaugies or Dupont and that we almost never get this side of the pond.
- Breadied malts, chewy cereals and caramel give this beer a solid malt backbone.
- The dry and peppery finish add to the quenching character of this beer.

Flavors: Thiriez yeast, pepper, herbal notes, breadied malt, cereals, caramel, mild citrus.

On draft at Isaacs. Notes of Bread, grass, flower, hop, citrus and sour notes. Finish was sour with straw and hay. It was surprisingly good.

Wonderfully done. The perfect mix between hay aroma, light citrus and a hint of pepper. Golden pour with good head and lacing. Light bitter finish with a touch of tang. Tap at Churchkey.

750 ml bottle. Super good! I cracked this one open and my wife looked at me and said "What smells like weed?" Definitely has some dank, grassy notes on the nose. Taste is hoppy and dry, but with a surprising rich and full quality that you don’t usually get in a 4.5%er. Floral hops, light grain with a touch of bread and honey, light yeast. I could drink this all day.

Aroma: Slight basement, a little lemon; lots of herbal and grassy notes with dry hopping most apparent. Appearance: Hazy gold with a foamy white head that settles into a bubbly skin. Flavor: Very dry throughout; herbal lemon tea up front and exceedingly so towards the finish; hops take over any sort of yeast funkiness this might otherwise have. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Thought quite highly of this; wonderful dry hopped Saison.

Bottle from the Bierkoning. Hazy, glowing gold pour with white head. Aroma is hoppy, farmy, dank peppery hop, very light skunk, very peppery, white pepper, clean bready notes, crisp grain, light peppery saison yeast. Taste is bitter, hoppy, brilliant maltiness, very bready but not at all sweet, very dry in fact. Definitely part of a very exclusive category of saisons revolving around Saison Dupont, many attempt it but few succeed.

Bottled @ De Molen 2nd Tuesday Tasting. The aroma has grass, some spicey tones. Bit hazy, yellow coloured beer with a thin head. The taste is moderate bitter, quite grassy. Dry finish.
