Bottle Pours dark brown , small white foam fades instantly Smell is bit bitter . Cacao is there, but very hidden in the back . Roasted malts, rather thin . Taste is Bitter, vegetables / green hops . Some cacao . Aroma-hoppyness ( very small parts ) . Aftertaste is chocolate malts , bit bitter . Body is thin, too thin for this kind of beer . Hint to high, yet doable carbonation . would have liked it more intense, but this beer aint bad

Really dark brown body, offwhite head. Aroma has much vegetables and some chocolate liqueur. Some roastiness and bit acidic. Flavour is quite thin but moderately rich.

330 ml bottle. Lot 330. Bottled 28/11/2012. BB 06/2014. From saveur-biere.com.
Black colour with a small tan head. The aroma is coffee... strong coffee... and dark chocolate... and vegetables... is it chili? The flavour is strangely interesting... there’s not much cacao here either... but malt, chocolate and coffee...

33cl bottle. Dark brown with small tanned head. NOSE : dominating aromas of freshly brewed coffee, cacao powder, nuts, sweet cheese with raisins and vanilla. SIP : oily texture with delicate carbonation. Sweet and roasted, gets earthy and mud like. Further on gets bitter dry like coffee. Flavors are roasted malts all the way with a yeast background. It’s like one would eat a sweet cheese cake and drink coffee to it. But a very water like coffee since the flavors and mouth feel is mild. Aftertaste is like an ashtray and mud. OVERALL : nothing really excited on it’s own. I guess it would be interesting to pair it with food and deserts.

bottle from saveur-biere. Deep brown colour, small, creamy beige head. Aroma of chocolate. Not too dry and bitter, lots of pleasant chocolate/cocoa flavours present. Smooth palate.

Bottle. Hazy dark brown, small head. Chocolate aroma with some grass behind. Fruity with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Mid bitter finish. Overall Ok but I would prefer with more chocolate flavour. Y

Bottle from Utobeer, Borough Market, London. Pours a dark brown colour with a large foamy tan head. Roasted bitter-sweet malt, chocolate, and powerful cocoa aroma. Bitterness to the cocoa finish, didn’t seem like a 6.5% beer, body was a little thin and whilst promising, was just a little bland.

33cl Bottle via trade with Erickok, thanks Eric! Dark reddish brown colour, light-beige head. Aroma of some sour roast, hint of coffee, cocoa, dark fruits. Flavour of cocoa, garden peas, hint of roasted malts, some dark fruits. Light-bodied. Meh... Definitely not a stout in my book.

Bottle 33 cl. Dark brown in color eith a foamy tan head. Roasted sweet maltyness, cocoa powder and coffee beans in aroma. There is a certain raw vibe to it. Cocoa sweetness in taste and some bitter dark chocolate as well. Nice slightly roasted cocoa aftertaste. A bit light though.
