Botella.

750 bottle of the 6%, fresh from Bottleworks.

Pours yellow with a rich white head into a tulip glass. Beautiful grassy barnyard aroma, a touch sour, a touch funky, a bit of pepper, orange zest. The flavors are much of what I love about saisons and very well integrated, honey and mowed grass and lemon and a nice metallic twinge on the close. It comes on a bit sweeter than expected, grainy, and while I I’m hard-pressed to complain too much about this delicious concoction, I would prefer a drier finish -- that would push this beer into the 4’s (as indeed it does with the Thiriez Extra)

Got me an older 6.5% bottle apparently. Sweet, lightly spicy on the nose. Sweet and smooth, very light, some dryness and a good heat in the finish.

Appearance: Clear medium amber with a 2 finger thick slightly off white head. Aroma: Honey notes, pepper, floral, earthy and biscuit. Taste: Low sweetness and sourness with a medium/high bitterness. Peppery, biscuit and hoppy. Palate: Thick texture and light/medium body. Average carbonation and very astringent and very bitter with an abrupt finish. Comments: Tasty and left a glass lace.

Sample at the HF saison fest, very plain and malty, just a strong malty beer, not for me really.

BOTTLE from Cave. Head: white, medium, frothy, avg. retention. Colour: amber, cloudy. Aroma: coriander, hers, dried hay, perfume. Taste: spicy, moderate to strong bitterness, bitter-sweet herbs. Some aromatic hops in the aftertaste. Quite dry, herbal and refreshing. Has that dried hay notes that I see in many french craft beers.

330ml bottle from Beer Hawk - Hazy yellow body, frothy white cap. Notes of grassy, bitter herbs, coriander, light citrus zest, mild resins, wheat, delicate yeast. Medium bodied with soft, lush carbonation. Very good.

330 ml bottle, rated from backlog. Deep amber with white head. Aroma is fruity with peach, pear and apricot, malt and yeast. Taste is fairly sweet with caramel and fruits, same as in aroma. Some herbs and spice too.
