750 ml bottle; clear dark gold with fluffy white head and lots of lacing as it sinks; aromas of fresh cut grass, honey, pilsner malt and hay; really enjoy the nose on this but the flavors in the first sip fall a little flat; stale honey and malt; clean and silky smooth mouthfeel; it is very light and delicate overall; can imagine this being quite a beer when super fresh
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Gurthnar (641) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - MAR 2, 2012
Bottle. Hazy yellow to orange colour. Heavy white frothy fully-lasting head. Some minor sediment. Aroma of raspberries, banana, lime, very fruity. Also some floral hops notes. Taste is medium bitter, light sour, light sweet. Interesting taste, but not the one you would like to drink tons of. Refreshing though. Light bitter, light to medium sour finish.

330ml bottle from La Cave à Bulle.
Appearance : Clear pale amber with small head. Not much lacing. Short head retention.
Aroma : Nice malty cereals with citrusy hops and honey. Nose evolves quickly in something very interesting. Great crisp citrusy hops with rich crunchy cereals.
Taste : Citrusy hops with nice malt. Notes of honey. Nice bitterness on the finish.
Palate : Carbonation fizzy and generous. Maybe a bit too much carbonation but only slightly.
Overall : Big surprise here. Very nice stuff. Highly drinkable yet rich and elegant. Great sharp hoppy profile with great malt. Great session beer. Along the lines of De la Senne light belgian ales. Very nice stuff. This is the type of beer that, I think, will decline quickly with age and transportation.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Potverdikke (14) - SWEDEN - JAN 20, 2012
Nice brett nose, really rustic. Dry, tart and bretty taste with a generous amount of hops. I would call it a saison rather then a BdG, but that’s just me. Really refreshing farmhouse ale.
Having originally rated 7-3-7-4-16, I had to rerate it after finishing my glass. This really is an excellent beer and I LOVE the brett nose and funky taste.
