Hazy straw yellow, huge puffy white head. Nose quite hoppy, herbal, sharp and minty, lots of interesting spices going on. Dry and quite spicy, good malts, nice heft to it, rolls around the mouth pleasingly. Big sharp. Bready malts. Full and smooth, feels nice. Really good stuff.

Not a Biere de Garde, but a very refreshing blond with a bite. A quite hard but not unpleasant bitterness.

Holy crap, take caution on these beers when openning. I pulled a total amature cocky move, openning a beer on my computer desk while listening to music on my headphones. As this brew started shooting all over my desk and room I had to try to plug the bottle while trying to use my shoulders to get my headphones off all the while trying to salvage as much of the beer as possible. Needless to say I got half the bottle saved. After this wreck this beer was very nice. Lightly hoppy with a great light wheaty taste and fizzy crispness. Pours a slightly cloudy gold with a strong white head. Light citrus taste along with the wheat. Finish has a faint but complimentary spice to it. Overall it just all blends very well together.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Potverdikke (14) - SWEDEN - JAN 20, 2012
Nice brett nose, really rustic. Dry, tart and bretty taste with a generous amount of hops. I would call it a saison rather then a BdG, but that’s just me. Really refreshing farmhouse ale.
Having originally rated 7-3-7-4-16, I had to rerate it after finishing my glass. This really is an excellent beer and I LOVE the brett nose and funky taste.

really good for french beer though it just says on the label that it´s from flanders. lots and lots of hops make it taste somehow green though it looks very amber indeed.

Smells good; not quite a shoppy in the aroma as the extra. Very big head with specks. Floaties in the beer too. A nice sweet lightly hoppy beer. Good bite and freshness. Lots of mouthfeel and creaminess. In between the extra and the amber.

big old 750 mL green bottle. damn, this is supremely appealing. it’s freshly mown hay and creamy wheatmalt, with only a touch of doughy yeast. the body belies the obvious hops overtone, where the wild fermentation shines--leave it to the french to make something that is so unpredictable that it is so simply predictable. my god, this beer IS summer. when it’s cold, it’s something that goes down so easily it will frighten you, but if it’s hot outside, every single over-warm tastebud will utterly BEG you to supply it with another swig of this beer. drink this like it’s your job.

Pours a lightly hazed deep gold, topped by an impossible amount of nearly white sudsy foam. Very good head retention and thick lacing. Subtly tart and fruity aroma accompanied by a lively honey and grain presence.
Tasty beer, with tangy lime-like citrus tartness that could be hops or could be funk or could be both. I taste yeast and wheat. The malt is subtly honeyed and there is a pear-like fruit presence as well. Now toss in some candi sugar. A hint of cheesiness shows up in the finish, with fairly assertive citrus hop bitterness. Mild yet complex. Light to medium body, exceptionally gentle carbonation.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Cletus (6177) - Connecticut, USA - OCT 3, 2006
Pours a hazy gold with a generous creamy head. Smells of perfume, wildflowers, grass, hay, some sugar. Tastes slightly bitter with a nice underlying touch of sourness.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 TAR (2346) - Lafayette, Colorado, USA - AUG 29, 2005
UPDATED: AUG 6, 2012 Straw colored with a golden shimmer. Tight froth of brilliant white foam and sticky lace. Spicy esters, cedar, lemon cake, and earthy hops on the nose. A light swirl releases hints of toasted straw. Creamy mouthfeel with spongy density. Opens with a sharply bitter wallop of spicy hops atop a toasty husk base. White pepper and lavender hints accentuate the spicy phenolic snap. The body’s creaminess plays beautifully off the supple malt, which unleash more tongue clinging starches as things progress. Hops discharge a precise sting of perfume amd lime zest before a sumptuous dousing of glazed malt sweetness. Astoundingly bright and captivatingly hoppy from start to finish, though, despite the substantial malt anchor. Dazzling yeast character shows a hint of bubblegum, but becomes more herbal and “wild” as it seamlessly blends with the spicy esters. Harmonious finish of toasty, doughy malts over a whipped blanket of yeasty fullness and lime and lavender echoes. Hops continue to tickle the palate long after the finish. Another rustic beauty from this charming countryside brewery.
