750mL, 6%abv, estimated age is around 8 months old, consumed on 7/19/07. Bottle opens with a pop and surging foam, fuck where did I put my glass, oops little bit of foam on the floor, holy overcarbonated mess batman!! After the initial shock wares off, the abundant foam subsides into a pale hazy, whoa, slightly chunky, are those sea monkeys? Nevermind. Huge stark white foam with nice stickiness. Aroma is full of tropical fruits with some spicy undertones. Flavor is something akin to pureed granny smith apples. Crap, the second pour evolves into a catastrophic eruption of foamy goodness all over my damn desk. Yep, french waterfall onto the floor, hope the dogs like apples. Damn sea monkeys are taunting me now. I remember this beer being better about 6 months ago, but damn if I was a non-rating SOB then, so ptthhht.

A hazy blonde with an extra thick froathy white head. A pleasant aroma of wheat, wild herbs, dandelion, very nice. In mouth, a crisp saison, with wild grasses, a little sweet, creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied. Tasted April 2007.

(Rating #1895)

33 cl bottle from Bieropholie, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. JN18/08.

App.: Cloudy deep golden with a large rocky white froth. Aroma: Some yeast, plenty of coriander, a bit of citrus peel, light fruitiness, a touch of esters, light leafy hops, light organic acids, gentle, general maltiness. Palate: Medium+ body, sparse but sharp effervescence. Flav.: Like the nose – yeast, plenty of coriander, citrus, light fruitiness, light malts, and leafy hops; just slightly off-dry, lightly bitter with a coriander/citrus finish.

Meh, not bad.
