330 ml bottle. Deep dark brown colour, thin beige head. The aroma is roasted, slightly sour, with some chocolate and berries. The flavour is a bit odd, roasted and sour, with notes of berries and vinegar, and an ashy finish. Interesting, but not very pleasant.

Bottle. Dark brown colour with a lasting medium-sized tan head. Malt, vinegar and spices in the nose. The flavour is slightly sweet and sour with notes of malt, juniper berries and some spices. Light to medium-bodied and quite carbonated.

mickut (274) - Espoo, FINLAND - MAR 14, 2010
Bottle. Pours clear, very dark brown with tan head, some clumpy sediment in bottle. Taste is lightly sweet. Palate has a medium body, a bit thin texture and a lightly metallic finish. Aromas have caramel, licorice and nuttyness.

Very dark brown beer with weak and beige head. Aroma is weird, roasted, malts, some sweetness and unpleasant vegetables. Flavour is better than aroma, some roastiness, sweetness and spiciness, but again vegetabless can be found in the end. Balanced and nice to drink. Weird, unpure beer; I don’t try this again.

Lubiere (9765) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 23, 2010
A dark clear brown ale with a thin moka head. A nice pleasant aroma of earthy ground cherries, volatile acids, veering on Duchesse de Bourgogne. In mouth, a bit lighter than expected with faint sweet malt, a bit of sourness, but overall a bit dull, lacks the intensity of Belgian Flemish sours. Bieropholie, BB April 2009.

Geiserich (3290) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - DEC 12, 2009
Bottled: Dark color, brownish creamy head. Aroma is sourly with with notes of bitter hops, coffee, salt and some fruitiness. Flavor is also sourly, light fruity and with a roasty end. Light roast bitter finish. Quite nice.

Very dark, a bit of a gusher. Liquorice, rye bread and spices in the nose. Dry, almost oaky, playing with a malty base. Complex as well, there is sourness, sweetness and dryness here. A little warming. Prunes, mint, a little soot. Hard to classify, and that’s a compliment. Could ahve had a bit more body, perhaps, but its a very fine brew.

MoritzF (8402) - Bochum, GERMANY - SEP 10, 2009
33cl bottle; Murky brown colour with a huge but loose beige foamy head. Dusty and sourish toast-malty aroma with a tinge of caramel and dark berries. Sourish and minimal sweet flavour, medium bodied with a lively carbonated mouthfeel. A bit slim toast-malty and slightly berry-fruity taste; sourish and slightly bitter finish with fruity and roasty notes. Okay, but not that great. 16.XI.08
