yngwie (15381) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 7, 2010
Bottle, 75cl, courtesy of KimJohansen and Papsoe. A hazy, mahogany beer with a creamy, finger-thick beige head. The aroma has some myrica-like notes, guess it’s at least something similar to that. There’s some roasted malts too. The flavor has a good dash of coffee, with the same herbal thing found in the aroma. Full-bodied and quite effervescent, a good bitterness finishes the whole thing. Nice! 100814

750ml thanks to bu11zeye. Tasted "blind"--Not knowing it was a porter. Poured a dark brown, ruby highlit body with a bubbly, lasting head. Aroma is slightly medicinal, fruity, grapes and malty. Flavor is fruity, light red wine sourness, floral, grainy hops. Medium/full mouthfeel with active, lively carbonation. Interesting...
