Lot 335 12/2013. pale color with white head, hoppy aroma, quite a full taste for such a light beer. dry and hoppy finish. You can still taste the hops in your mouth after you swallow. Good beer !

Where and how: bottle @ bar Volo
Aroma: strong phenolic notes with feel of chlorine, medicinal box, herbal hop behind.
Appearance :
Top: large white top lasting.
Base: clear gold
Palate : medium lighter body, soft.
Taste: quiet mild, hint of medicinal notes as in aroma, but not as prominent thankfully. Dry hop at top end. Softer walls.
other notes bad bottle or just not very good.

Bottle 330ml.

[ As Thiriez / Jester King la Petite Princesse ].
Light unclear light to medium yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, herbs, sweet yeast, wood, grape - wine. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average duration, hebs, pale malt. IMO. a bit borring. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20150813]

Bottle produced on 30/12/2014, batch 465. Opened 1 year later. Pours a cloudy apricot, minimal head, sediment in the bottle. Nose is complex, tart fruit, lemon, pear and peach and Belgian yeasty and herbal notes. Taste is mild, fruity esters, refreshing, dry, bitter with a faint tart finish. Nice meal beer. Satisfying for such a low ABV beer.

Pours a glass of thick orange/yellow beer. It has a very nice soft mouthfeel and a very nice and sweet yeasty aroma.

Appearance: cloudy pale straw with one finger of fluffy white head, excellent retention and spotty lacing. (4/5) Aroma: lemon zest, brett funk, hay, apples and pears, very light crackery malt, faint catty. (7/10) Taste: mild sweet, moderate tart, mild bitter. (7/10) Palate: light body, moderate carbonation, crisp tart finish. (4/5) I gotta say, the weirdest thing about this is that it cost me pretty much the same number of Canadian dollars, in Canada, as it did to buy its brother Le Petit Prince, in US dollars, in Texas! Very similar, of course, but I think a little less sweet. Also, perhaps a very little (and by no means unpleasant) catty tone due to the different hop selection? Much as with the Prince, my major objection to this is that it could stand to be more… well… everything. Sweet, in particular. Good, though. (15/20)

750ml capped bottle pours a hazy golden color with a huge white head that retains quite well leaving only a few spots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is light citrus with some herbal notes and earthy tones. Taste is a citrus and herbal bitterness with a light fruity and malty sweetness. Light bodied with good carbonation. Overall, quite a tasty brew despite its low ABV. Well done.

Bottle. Light golden, hazy, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Light to moderate, malty - lightly wheaty and lightly sweetish aroma, light fruitiness and citrus, light - some herbal hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty - lightly wheaty and dryish - lightly sweetish flavor, faint fruitiness, light citrus and light - some herbal hoppyness. Finish is average, malty - lightly wheaty and dryish - lightly sweetish, light citrus and light - some herbal hoppyness. OK dryish and decently hopped saison. OK body beeing 2,9% Probably I would enjoy more of a "Big Princesse" with more body and %. Nice one, but just a curiosity among saisons.

Bottle @ Craig’s. Ours yellow with a very thin white head. A big nose of citrus fruits and a little of kick of cheese right at the end. Orange and lemon on taste with a long soft bitter finish, nice.
