Brought back from Cave a Bulles by my folks. Pours with a bubbly, loud head that fades rather quickly. Color is dark ruby copper red. A bit too dark to see through without some direct light. Aroma is kind of dank basement euro hops along with French-y floral, musky malts. Flavor follows with a standard French maltiness, a bit musty, a bit biscuit and floral. A light bodied beer, easy to drink with a malty tea aftertaste. A bit of an earthy, almost grinds of coffee, kick at the very end. Decent stuff, not getting any sourness just some musty malt flavors completely normal to a French BdG. I would call this a BdG and not a Belgian.
11.2oz bottle, St Paul tulip/snifter glass.

Bottle from Cave a Bulles, Paris. Hazy red, some sourness in the aroma. Not extreme in any way. Medium body, delicate sourness. Redcurrants cutting through the sweetness. Recommended.

Bottle shared at tasting. Poured a cloudy dark brown. Aroma of malt, fruit, yeast. Some roasted aromas. Taste is a little sweet with more fruit and yeast. Finish is smooth and interesting with mix of malt roast and hops. Overall, a solid and unique brew.

Bottle - 330ml. Hazy amber body with average carbonation and a thick off-white frothy head. Sharp hoppy aroma with fruity hints. Nice hoppy/fruity taste that ends with a long bitter/sour finish. Good stuff.

Bottle (330ml). Via trade with boutip. Bit of a gusher ... hazy deep coppery amber with a huge lasting fluffy white head. Sour aroma, a bit like a fruity Petrus - sharp dry yeast, pungently floral, but mostly lemon and sour cherry, redolent with sweet/sour sugary malt. Taste is like a lemon/cherry sour drop - sweet in behind, yeasty, but mostly sharply sour - I don’t know if it’s supposed to be like this, but I like it. Light body, nice and acidic, sharply carbonated - it’s sour right to the end, but leaves a fruity/candyish aftertaste. Refreshing.

Bouteille 33 cl.
