Sweet sickly malt and caramel aroma. Much too sweet in the flavour. Lots of toffee and a tart sugary finish. Careful pour leading to a full glass of head points to infected beer. Not great. Aroma is sweet caramel and malt. Taste is a mild acidic with a sugary caramel malt touch. JoeinUccle (902), Brussels, Belgium

Very malty nose with caramel, quite strong like malt extracts (not suggesting they brew with them, but that’s how strong I found the aroma). Tastes quite grainy and a touch sweet, with notes of maple, caramel, then turns mildly bitter and quite dry. Nice, but I can’t shake that caramel candy out of my nose. footy (334), scottsdale, Arizona, USA

Pleasant hoppy floral aroma. Mild hoppy bland taste doesn’t live up to aroma. Ethereal (1500), London, Greater London, England

Pours a red amber colour, with a small head. The aroma is mainly malted barley and yeast notes, the flavour moves interestingly from sweet to bitter as you drink and there are some tasty hints of dried apricots. However, the finish is not overly pleasant and I would rate this beer as enjoyed but flawed. bierkoning (6027), La Tropica, Netherlands
