Aroma: sweet malts, some yeast, maybe orange? Appearance: dark amber, hazy, medium creamy head, quickly disappearing. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: very short finish, sweets persist, medium to lively carbonation. Overall: nice Biere de Garde, but doesn’t one make jump up and down. Bottle from Beer Hawk, England.

Bottle: Very fruity aroma with plums and apricot. Hazy very dark amber to brown color with an off-white head. Flavor is light malty with fruity notes mainly of plums, hints of cherries and mirabelle plums. Light spicy. Light bitter end.

33cl bottle, from bierkoning. Lightly hazy deep red pour with rapidly receding foam. Aroma of caramel, cherries, light earthy notes, tree bark, dusty aromas. Taste is malty, fruity, sweet, belgian yeast, very mellow flavor. Palate is silky, moderately dry, light carbonation. Tasty.

Bottled, BB 10/2013, large sample. Hazy amber color with floating stuff, big off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, toffee, soft spicy notes, hint of raisin, slight grassy hop. Medium bitter in taste, some burned caramel. Slight metallic finish. Past its peak I guess.

Bottle, opened to share with my in-laws. Aggressively carbonated gassy head atop a golden amber body. Musty caramel aroma, not a good start. Musty caramel apple flavour. This bottle is off. Boo.

Got this bottle from France (0,75). And I am very surprised. Most tasty beer I tasted in years. Very roasty taste with dried fruits. Malty and long taste. I had this in my mouth for hours.

330ml bottle from Beer Hawk - Hazy golden-orange body with a moderate white head. Aroma is quite herbal and grassy. Flavour is herbal as well, with yeast and grain notes, caramel, subdued fruits and a nice nutty finish. Quite a good one.

Bottle. Pours a dark auburn orange with a large, beige-colored head. Aroma is fruity - peach and apple - light yeast and fermented fruit. A touch of cinnamon or perhaps oven-baked apple? Taste is dry and malty. Spicy, nutty, somewhat fermented fruit. A light tartness on the finish with the nuttiness getting stronger. Pleasant and enjoyable. Imagine would be good with food. Palate is quite light and has too much carbonation.

Cloudy warm brown with a plume of tan, coarse head that quickly bubbles down. Aroma is pear, light bakers yeast, nutty wood, white grape, odd grain, and pineapple. Light body with low carbonation of moderate coarseness. Flavor reveals strong nuttiness and a hint of funky tartness which may be due to the inclusion of raw grain. A nice brew that is not overstated.
