UPDATED: AUG 7, 2014 From tap at Brasserie Thiriez.
Mostly clear dark amber body with an off-white head. Spicy cara red malt cinnamon and tobacco and red apple. House strain shows its core rustic mustiness. Herbal hops with faint citrus oil notes. High caramelization, enough so that a trace of smoke is suggestable. Velvety texture, soft as can be, the signature body of Thiriez in full effect. Off-dry, low acidity, relatively low bitterness.

Bottle 33cl. Sligthly hazy dark amber, one finger foamy off-white head, recedes very quickly, thin layer remains; shy aroma toasted malt, caramel, bread, herbal notes, gives slightly watery impression; moderate sweet, slightly bitter, dark fruits, spicy notes (cloves, nutmeg); medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; smooth moderate sweetbitter aftertaste.
