COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Unfiltered.
The first Christmas beer produced by Thiriez since 1997. Fewer hops than the Blonde; lightly toasted malts for color, and a hint of spice.

bottle, kindly donated by jaghana - merci beaucoup! Hazy amber colour, large and creamy off-white head. Sourish-fruity nose. Full-bodied, lovely malty base with caramel and fruit, balanced by a timid but interesting sourness. Balanced off by some aromatic hops in the finish, the tongue is played with by a miscture of caramel and malty sweetness, fruity sourness and hoppy bitterness. Highly interesting and fascinating.

Bottle. Dark amber with a big porous head. Light pepper and soft caramel scent. Sour slightly vinegar and confusing malt. Not a good beer. Too sweet and too sour and too confused.

330ml bottle at home, 4th Dec 2010. Amber with an off-white head. Nice weight, good mouthfeel. Slightly sour nose, bit fruity. In the mouth, it has prune, pineapple and fig as well as mineral/stone hint. Doesn’t feel that strong. Grew on me.

Color is nice, dark and a little red. Smell and taste are off. Spices in the smell. Taste is a little sour. Not very good in my opinion.

Pretty much like the other Thiriez beers. Living mouthfeel. Decent smell and taste. Bit of a dry finish. I think this is my favorite beer from this brewery. Not great, not bad. Very decent and balanced beer. Not mindblowing in any aspect.

4oz pour at Max’s Rare and Obscure Beer Week Part 4. Pours a hazy, burnt orange with a thin, creamy white head. Nose is orangey, light candy, malty, a little perfume. Flavor is grassy, a little medicinal, malty, yeasty. Obviously a Euro IPA. Medium bodied with a sweet finish.

Danke an den Doppelbock für das Bier! Recht milder, etwas fruchtiger aromatischer Geruch. Minimal fruchtig etwas herb und relativ mild schmeckt das Bier dann auch, wobei mir der würzige Nachgeschmack am meisten zusagt. Test vom 4.2.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,10,10,12,9,10 - 10,15

20110602 Oirschot Beerfest (33 cl bottle): A slightly cloudy amber-coloured beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is like amber-malt with caramle. Not to fresh. A sweet malty taste (caramel), full body, but with a sharp sour sense. A malty bitterness, not to much hopbitterness. BBE 01/2011

Bottle 330ml. @ home.

Clear sparkling, medium amber orange color with a huge huge, frothy, goodlacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, spicy !! sour milk tart citrus, artificial raspberry notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long to average duration, sour milk, fruity - berries, roasted - chocolate bitter, milk - citrus - lemon tart sour. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. IMO slightly infected, but again was okay to drink even did get better the more i did drink ! [20110112]
